Overheard in the Exam Room
Once
Early in my career I wrote “give once daily” for a Spanish-speaking couple.
The next day they came back asking for a refill. In Spanish, once means eleven.
I have not written that word on a label since. They did exactly what the label said. The mistake was mine, and it taught me to check how every client actually reads their instructions.
